Schemata

A database design tool built in Ruby on Rails. Users can design databases to help visualise the connections between different tables. They can also view the code needed to generate the tables for a Ruby on Rails app or an SQLite3 Database. Schemas can also be made public, so other users can view them.

The app will generate the commands needed to create the database in SQLite3 and Rails. The commands are topologically sorted, so each table is only created once the tables it depends on have been made.

Pythia

The final group project from the Le Wagon bootcamp. This app allowed users to create data queries for csv files, and returned the results in a visual format as charts or maps.

I built the query builder interface, using javascript to enable additional filters to be added and removed

The results of the query appeared to the user as a table, with tabs above enabling them to view the data as charts and maps. I added a button to enable the user to download the filtered data as a csv.

The chart view made use of a dropdown table to allow a user to visualise the data for a particular column of data as a chart. The chart type changes according to the type of data held in the column.

Similarly, the map view allowed users to select any columns that held numerical data, and view a summary of that column's total number's for each country

Task Tracker

A task tracking app built using React. Users can add tasks to their to do list, edit and delete tasks, and mark them as completed. The site allows users to save their data locally on their browser.

Watch List

A standalone project created after the Bootcamp. Users can create lists of their favourite movies

Users can view the lists that have been created from the homepage, as well as click the button to create a new list

The new list form allows users to name their list and add an image for it.

Once the list has been created, the user can add movies, selecting them from a pre-populated database of movies using the Select2 JS plugin.

The list page displays the movies, along with options to add new or delete movies. A Twitter button enables the user to share the list on their social media account.

Airbnb 2.0

A one-week project for the Le Wagon Bootcamp. Our team recreated Airbnb as a Ruby on Rails app, where users can sign up for an account, book places to stay and list their own properties.
